Patient Bill of Rights

Patients are entitled to Orthotic and Prosthetic services which will enable them to:

1.

Participate fully in all decisions concerning their rehabilitation

2.

Participate in the development of their individualized rehabilitation plan

3.

Be educated on orthotic and prosthetic services, devices, new technology

4.

Select from among well trained orthotists and prosthetists

5.

Obtain safe, effective products and services

6.

Seek remedy if products or practitioners do not meet high quality standards

7.

Voice concerns about quality of care and billing practices

8.

Ask questions and become more knowledgeable consumers
